What can be covered can be found by light. So we must cover something first in order to find and actually see it. I am drawn to paint as a distinct form of this covering "substance". In their most essential form, this is what my paintings can give, and the rest I am trying to strip of its illusion. -Laurel Waters September 26th, 2017
